Pens and devices compatible with MyScript Notes

MyScript Notes works smoothly on Windows, iOS, and Android, supporting a variety of pens and devices. Check the list below to see which tools are compatible and get the best note-taking experience for your setup.

MyScript Notes is not compatible with traditional graphic tablets.

Compatible pens

MyScript Notes is designed to work seamlessly with active pens for the best experience, but it also supports passive pens, also called capacitive pens. Using an active pen unlocks added precision by allowing MyScript Notes to distinguish between your pen strokes and touch, something passive pens can’t offer. Active pens are designed for certain devices and can come with the device or be bought separately. Check with your device manufacturer to see if an active pen is included.

For the best experience with MyScript Notes, we recommend using an active pen. If you can’t use an active pen, update your settings in preferences. Check the Manage your settings article for guidance.

Compatible devices

MyScript Notes supports devices running iOS 16.0 or later (non-beta versions). For an optimal experience, we recommend having at least 6GB of RAM. See below a list of supported iPad and Mac devices to check compatibility.

Mac

Mac devices don’t support Apple Pencil, so using a passive pen or a keyboard and mouse may offer a more limited experience with MyScript Notes.

To use Nebo, your device should meet these requirements:

RAM: At least 4GB for Intel CPUs or 8GB for ARM CPUs (Microsoft SQ1/SQ2)
CPU: Intel Core i3/i5/i7 or ARM Microsoft SQ1/SQ2
Screen: High-quality touch screen
OS: Windows 10, version 16299 or higher, 64bit architecture) See below a list of compatible devices (not exhaustive).
Wacom Pen tablets (Intuos) and Pen computers (Mobile Studio Pro, Cintiq, or Cintiq Pro) are not compatible with Nebo. Graphics tablets are also not supported.
